Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) Bodies

Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) Bodies are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Government through the Natural Heritage Trust (NHT).

There are five Regional NRM Bodies in Reef catchments. These are:

NRM bodies are responsible for developing NRM plans and investment strategies, within which Reef Plan actions are prioritised. Regional NRM bodies provide incentives and assistance to land managers, industry and other community groups to support in implementing the regional NRM plans through their investment strategies.
