Reef Globe

The Queensland Government has developed a Great Barrier Reef spatial globe that provides users with an interactive online tool to view and explore the Great Barrier Reef’s spatial data and imagery.

The Reef Globe provides access to a variety of data about land based activities which affect the water quality of the reef. It includes information about land use, monitoring sites, vegetation, marine park zoning, drainage basins, designated shipping areas and protected areas etc.

Users can turn different layers on and off and select different base maps. They can zoom into selected areas or view the Great Barrier Reef and its catchments as one system.
