Measuring success

The success of the Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan is monitored through:

  • Paddock to Reef Integrated Monitoring, Modelling and Reporting Program
    The Paddock to Reef program is a world leading approach to integrating information on management practices, catchment indicators, catchment loads and the health of the Great Barrier Reef.

  • Report cards
    Annual report cards measure progress towards the targets.

  • Outcomes
    The Delivering Reef water quality outcomes publication shows that project outcomes are driving progress towards the targets.

  • Independent audits
    Progress against actions is also scrutinised through an independent audit process.

  • Case studies
    Results from paddock trials that demonstrate the water quality results of different land management practices.

  • Methods
    Information about how the key indicators are measured.
